The first time a person was actually awarded the MOH, was on March 25, 1863. On that date, Pvt. Jacob Parrott was the first of a group of 6 men awarded the MOH for their actions in April 1862. Trivia fans: Theodore Roosevelt is the only President to have received the Medal of Honor.
