In 1960, Biscayne National Underwater Park, the first underseas national park, opened near Key Largo, Florida. Trivia fans: According to the National Park Service, Biscayne National Park is home to 512 species of fish, and many of these are visible to snorkelers and visitors on the glass-bottom boat tour.
