President Franklin Delano Roosevelt made the first of his Sunday evening fireside radio chats in 1933.
Trivia fans: Every US President since Roosevelt has delivered a weekly address. Presidents Ronald Reagan through George W. Bush delivered weekly Saturday radio broadcasts, while President Barack Obama provides his address in both audio and video forms, both of which are available online via whitehouse and YouTube, today's version of "fireside"!
