The world's largest wooden plane, the 200-ton Spruce Goose,
was flown by billionaire Howard Hughes over Long Beach harbor
on November 2, 1947. At that time, it was the world's largest
airplane ever flown. Hughes flew it only one time for less
than a minute to a height no greater than 50 feet for a
distance of less than a mile.
Today's Inspirational Quote:
"If I accept you as you are, I will make you worse; however if
I treat you as though you are what you are capable of
becoming, I help you become that."
By Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe
