Today{31st August} is the birthday of the Kinetoscope. Thomas
Edison patented the kinetoscope, the forerunner of the movie
projector, in 1887. Edison called the invention a Kinetoscope,
using the Greek words "kineto" meaning "movement" and "scopos"
meaning "to watch."
