Today {24th August} is Shooting Star Day. In 1988,
Elvis Presley's
Shooting Star stage outfit was sold for
$48,000, the highest
price ever paid for a rock star's clothing up to
that time.
Trivia buffs: On August 7, 2008, his famous
1974 stage-worn
peacock jumpsuit sold for $300,000. So I
guess when that day
rolls around we'll call it Peacock Day. ;-)
